La semana pasada viajamos en nuestra autocaravana a Icod de los Vinos, un histórico pueblo situado en el noroeste de Tenerife. Como su nombre indica, la producción de vino tiene una larga tradición aquí, pero la principal atracción de la ciudad es sin duda El Drago Milenario, el legendario drago milenario.
El imponente árbol se encuentra en el Parque del Drago, donde pudimos pasear y disfrutar de la exuberante vegetación y el ambiente subtropical único. Además del drago, también descubrimos otras plantas interesantes y una cueva en el parque.
El centro histórico de Icod de los Vinos también es impresionante. Paseando por las calles adoquinadas, admiramos la arquitectura tradicional canaria y visitamos la iglesia de San Marcos, uno de los monumentos más importantes de la ciudad.
Por supuesto, no podíamos dejar de probar los vinos locales. Muchos establecimientos de la ciudad ofrecen catas de vino, donde pudimos conocer las variedades de uva locales y las tradiciones vitivinícolas.
Icod de los Vinos es un verdadero viaje en el tiempo al pasado, donde la historia y la naturaleza se encuentran. El drago, el vino y el acogedor centro de la ciudad contribuyen a que este lugar ofrezca una experiencia inolvidable.

Last week we traveled in our camper van to Icod de los Vinos, a historic town located in the northwest of Tenerife. As its name suggests, wine production has a long tradition here, but the main attraction of the town is undoubtedly El Drago Milenario, the legendary thousand-year-old dragon tree.
The imposing tree is located in the Parque del Drago, where we could walk and enjoy the lush vegetation and the unique subtropical atmosphere. In addition to the dragon tree, we also discovered other interesting plants and a cave in the park.
The historic center of Icod de los Vinos is also impressive. Strolling through the cobbled streets, we admired the traditional Canarian architecture and visited the church of San Marcos, one of the most important monuments in the city.
Of course, we couldn’t miss tasting the local wines. Many establishments in the city offer wine tastings, where we were able to learn about the local grape varieties and winemaking traditions.
Icod de los Vinos is a true journey back in time, where history and nature meet. The dragon tree, the wine, and the cozy town center all contribute to making this place an unforgettable experience.

Letzte Woche reisten wir mit unserem Wohnmobil nach Icod de los Vinos, einer historischen Stadt im Nordwesten Teneriffas. Wie der Name schon sagt, hat die Weinproduktion hier eine lange Tradition, aber die Hauptattraktion der Stadt ist zweifellos El Drago Milenario, der legendäre tausendjährige Drachenbaum.
Der imposante Baum befindet sich im Parque del Drago, wo wir spazieren gehen und die üppige Vegetation und die einzigartige subtropische Atmosphäre genießen konnten. Neben dem Drachenbaum entdeckten wir auch andere interessante Pflanzen und eine Höhle im Park.
Das historische Zentrum von Icod de los Vinos ist ebenfalls beeindruckend. Bei einem Spaziergang durch die kopfsteingepflasterten Straßen bewunderten wir die traditionelle kanarische Architektur und besuchten die Kirche San Marcos, eines der wichtigsten Monumente der Stadt.
Natürlich durften wir auch die lokalen Weine nicht verpassen. Viele Einrichtungen in der Stadt bieten Weinproben an, bei denen wir die lokalen Rebsorten und die Traditionen der Weinherstellung kennenlernen konnten.
Icod de los Vinos ist eine wahre Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit, wo Geschichte und Natur aufeinandertreffen. Der Drachenbaum, der Wein und das gemütliche Stadtzentrum tragen dazu bei, dass dieser Ort ein unvergessliches Erlebnis bietet.

A múlt héten a lakóautónkkal Icod de los Vinosba utaztunk, Tenerife északnyugati részén található történelmi városkába. Ahogy a neve is sugallja, a bortermelés itt nagy hagyományokkal rendelkezik, de a város fő attrakciója kétségkívül az El Drago Milenario, a legendás ezeréves sárkányfa.
Az impozáns fa a Parque del Drago parkban található, ahol sétálva gyönyörködhettünk a buja növényzetben és a különleges, szubtrópusi hangulatban. A sárkányfa mellett a parkban más érdekes növényeket és egy barlangot is felfedeztünk.
Icod de los Vinos történelmi központja is lenyűgöző. A macskaköves utcákon sétálva megcsodáltuk a hagyományos kanári-szigeteki építészetet, és betértünk a San Marcos templomba, amely a város egyik legfontosabb műemléke.
Természetesen nem hagyhattuk ki a helyi borok kóstolását sem. A város számos vendéglátó helye kínál borkóstolót, ahol megismerkedhettünk a helyi szőlőfajtákkal és a borkészítés hagyományaival.
Icod de los Vinos egy igazi időutazás a múltba, ahol a történelem és a természet találkozik. A sárkányfa, a bor és a hangulatos városközpont mind hozzájárulnak ahhoz, hogy ez a hely felejthetetlen élményt nyújtson.
